the closest thing i have to an idea right now is the story i wrote and used for the history. All i really know is that it takes place bout 10,000 years from now and the civilization is basically feudal. theres no tech. horses and other animals dont exist. what ever happened caused them all to mutate to whatever we decide to use. and there are humans who hunt darklings. and maybe some hunters who hunt the hunters. if that makes sense.

So it's basically a warzone now? Vampires/Darklings vs. Humans? Or like Vampire/Darkling Hunters vs. Human Hunters?

not a war zone really. just the way things turn out. think kinda like dark ages transplanted into the future bout 10,000 years. the hunters used to exist then died out or all retired or whatever. now theres hunters again. but at least this time they have a reason to exist.

(I'm a big anime fan and one of my faves is Vampire Hunter D, so i kinda got the hunter idea from it. )

Alright, so not a war zone. But there's humans hunting vampires, and vampires hunting those humans, right?

There could definitely be some conflict there. Are the vampires well known among humans, or are they all just kind of in hiding, pretending they aren't what they are?

I'm not familiar with the anime either, so I'm sort of lost with all this stuff. xD

the vamps are kinda obvious when you look at them. And everyone knows about them. The hunters are hunting them cause the vamps need human blood to survive. the hunters' hunters are hunting them cause the hunters are hunting vampires. But there havent really been either kind of hunter for thousands of years cause the last human one died and the vamp ones retired. human ones are coming back now though. so my charrie might have to come out of retirement.

Hmm, so maybe since all the humans who once hunted vampires were exterminated so quickly, this new band is going to try and be more discreet about it and try to go unnoticed by those they are hunting? They could even just leave themselves as bait maybe and get the vampire when they get too close.

That might not work though, since the families of vampires are rather well known and it'll be hard getting rid of them all.

One of these vampire hunter characters sound kind of fun to play now though. ^^

its a thought. a good one. but if its thousands of years later, how would they know how/when the last of the human type hunters died? The only hunters left are vamps and there arent many of them. never really were. and theyr all retired. the hunter conflict would work pretty good though. just need the rest of it now.

Hmm, I'm still trying to make sense of all this though. You're saying that the vampires wouldn't know when or how the humans who are hunting them died, right? Or am I totally missing it. Because if that was the case, I would have figured that the thousand of years would do the trick. Humans can't live that long. I could just be confusing myself here though. >_< Sorry if I am.

Okay, so the hunting conflict is good though, so I'll keep that in mind. ^^ Let's see.... How else to possibly expand on that.

the vamps would know how the human type hunters died out if they bother to check their own histories. Well the vamp type hunters would anyway. the humans wouldn't know though cause their history of that long ago would have been lost. loss caused by whatever mutated the critters.

So basically the humans for now times wouldn't have any knowledge of the previous humans who hunted vampires because all that documentation has been lost. Got it. Though the vampires would have it if they cared to look.

Hmm, so maybe it's just some angry person who lost a family member to a vampire that decides they're going to do something about it and start fighting back and wish all vampires dead? And then that person can round up anyone else who wishes to exact revenge on the vampires and really tries to get things going, saying something like vampires shouldn't exist because they're...something, I dunno, wrong. Humans are supposed to be the dominant ones on the planet, the hunters, not the hunted or something like that.

Or were you even wanting to go somewhere in that direction?

actually thats pretty close. you sure you haven't seen Vampire Hunter D at some point? But the hunters would need to hire themselves out in order to be able to do it. Like its a job or something.

Hmm, okay. So was that even helping, or am I just talking about this show I've never seen? I'm lost on what kind of plot you're looking for now.

so what we have so far is:

1: There are humans who hunt darklings as a profession.
2: There are a few retired darklings who hunted the past hunters. They may have to come out of retirement.
3: There is a conflict of some sort between the darkling hunters and the human hunters.


this is a good start. now all we need is the civilian part of the plot. can't have one that centers only on the hunters cause we may have to limit the number of hunters allowed. if we don't, we may end up with nothing but hunter charries.

About the civilians. What are their jobs? Like how are they making a living and stuff? And is there anything special about their society?

its just a medievel civilization. as for jobs, well whatever jobs existed in the dark ages. this would include tinker/gypsy types, beggers, and 'ladies of the evening'
